5/12/2010 5:48:10 AM	Craft & Gift Fair Fundraiser on June 5 for Bayport United Methodist Church The Bayport United Methodist Church will host a craft and gift fair fundraiser on Saturday, June 5, 2010, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., at 482 Middle Road in Bayport. The fair will include crafts, gifts, thrift shop, yard sale, refreshments, bake sale, and more, plus an "opportunity table," face painting, free children's crafts and musical entertainment. Space is still available for vendors. Interested vendors can contact Charlotte at 631-790-5083. Look for the fair on Facebook by keyword searching "Bayport United Methodist Church Craft & Gift Fair."
5/4/2010 1:08:38 PM	Author Dr. Jackie Humans Featured at GirlFest 2010 in Bayport Jackie Humans, Ph.D., author of �15 Ways to ZAP a Bully!� will address the Girl Scouts of Suffolk County about �Cyber-bullying� at GirlFest 2010. Hundreds of girls and their families will gather for the annual celebration, which will be held on Saturday, May 8, from 12-4 PM at Camp Edey, Bayport. Dr. Humans, who resides in Northport, will present the cyber-bullying program at her booth from 2-3 PM. She will explain to the girls how to identify cyber-bullies on the Internet and how best to deal with cyber-bullies outside and inside their own schools and neighborhoods. The goal of her programs is to empower children and their parents with practical solutions to the problems of bullying and cyber-bullying. �It�s Your Planet � Love It!� is the theme of GirlFest 2010, which is open to the public. Other activities include concerts, paddleboating, an obstacle course, a steel drum band and sing-a-longs. The cost is $15 per person at the door. Children age 4 and under attend free. Items for sale will include jewelry for women and children, collectibles, sports, pocketbooks, tote bags, scarves, Tupperware, Mary Kay, Pampered Chef, health and beauty, indoor and outdoor home decor, dog-themed collection, homemade chocolate and children's picture story books. Space is still available for vendors. The space fee is $35 outside on the church grounds and $45 inside the church's parish hall and parlor. All fees will directly benefit the church.
