About the Book
“Along Came Kelsey and Oliver” is the first story in the Doxie Tales book series. This book was inspired by the author's true-life long-haired, Miniature Dachshunds, Kelsey and Oliver. Also fondly referred to as "hot dogs," Dachshunds have stolen the hearts of children and adults with their playful, affectionate and witty behavior. This heartwarming story, along with its vibrant illustrations, tells the tale of two happy but homeless puppies who find an abundance of love, a warm home, and true happiness with their new family. It is certain to be loved by children of all ages.

Hey Folks,
As many of you are aware, besides my involvement with the Booster Club, I am also a Vice President of the Sayville Little League. Right now I am Chairing a Fundraiser for a "Dear Friend" of both Football & Little League who has been valiantly battling cancer for months now. The Family has 2 teen-age children, one a Senior in High School who will be off to College next September. The financial burden set upon this family is TREMENDOUS. It is to that cause that we will be hosting a "Benefit for a Friend" Fundraiser Comedy Show on Saturday Evening December 1st. at the West Sayville Volunteer Fire Dept. on the corner of Cherry Ave.& Montauk Hwy here in Sayville. The evening includes a Buffet Dinner & Dessert, Beer, wine & soda, and a four act Comedy Show. Tickets for the event are $50 per person, and ALL proceeds will go directly to the Family to help offset the huge medical costs that have been incurred.
What a wonderful way to say "Thank You" and help out the family of a man who has Volunteered his time to the Youth of our Community for many years!
The Family is currently unaware of this fundraising effort, therefore we wish to keep our effort a surprise until we present them with a check.
Tickets can be purchased in advance by contacting Jeannie Golka at 567-1748, Donna Tordik at 563- 6081, or myself at 375-4213.
Donations of any kind are GREATLY APPRECIATED.
Looking Forward to Seeing You All on December 1st,
Mark Wallace
